Well, to echo the great Roy Batty (the Nexus 6 Replicant from ‘Blade Runner’, & NOT a character from ‘Last of the Summer Wine’ as some might think), take a look at the new gallery of images from the 2011 Strange New Worlds Weekender to get a flavour of what went on, or what you missed.
Thanks to everyone who took photos and has given permission for them to be used here.

“All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain…”
Thanks to EVERYONE who made the first day of Strange New World’s Weekender such a success!
Visitors & vendors; exhibitors and helpers; and of course our special guests: Dave Prowse, Pat Mills and Glenn Fabry!
There was a fantastic atmosphere throughout the day, and so many interesting things happening.
Thanks to Dave Prowse for adding some Star Wars’ star quality to the day. It’s both an honour and a pleasure to work with such a genuinely nice and interesting man. Oh, and the actor who played one of the most iconic roles OF ALL TIME!
“Always use the Green Cross Code!” <wheeze wheeze>
Thanks too to Pat Mills, especially for his fascinating seminar on his career in comicbooks and the evolution of 2000AD. Also to Glenn Fabry for his continuing & ever artistic support of Strange New Worlds!
Extra special thanks too to Worthing’s own Type 40 Toys, for their invaluable support, including the uberawesome TARDIS console. Next, the engines… Also to Matt Hicks for the loan of his ORIGINAL TARDIS and to Ashley Nealfuller for his TARDIS walls & diorama.
REMEMBER: This year, it’s a WEEKENDER, so STRANGE NEW WORLDS will be there to liven up your Sunday! Come along and have a great day!

Strange New Worlds is
DELIGHTED
to announce that the LEGENDARY DAVE PROWSE will be attending Strange New Worlds, on both Saturday and Sunday! Dave needs no introduction to sci-fi fans, having played Darth Vader in the original trilogy, as well as appearing in The Hitch-Hiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, Terry Gilliam’s Jabberwocky, and Doctor Who (as a Mintotaur), not to mention A Clockwork Orange and Hammer Horror films!
Awesome!!! <wheeze wheeze>
Come along and meet the only Sith Lord with a Road Safety-promoting superhero alter ego!

Sadly, Simon Bisley will not be able to be with us for Strange New Worlds, this year, owing to work commitments.
Remember that the legendary Pat Mills & Glenn Fabry will still be with us on Saturday, amidst the stalls, Cosplay & sci-fi smorgasbord that form Strange New Worlds!

No, The Master hasn’t shrunk the MK Garrison to miniscule proportions (yet…)!
What you’re seeing is a small selection of custom Lego figures and dioramas from Wompa Stompa, who will be exhibiting at Strange New Worlds this weekend!
Custom Lego and stop motion animation have become very popular of late, with many excellent clips on YouTube, so why not come along and see
some excellent, unique, expertly built legends in Lego? Now, if only we can persuade James May to build a full sized Lego Death Star…

Strange New Worlds is delighted to announce that Anthony Fucilla, sci-fi author and cinematographer, will be appearing at the event, c/o Waterstones.

Anthony will be signing and reading from his books Quantum Chronicles in the Eleventh Dimension, collections of short stories exploring elements of Philosophy and Theology.
As well as writing sci-fi, Antony is also a maker of science documentaries, and co-produced The Universe of Myron Evans, The Science and Faith of Lawrence Horwitz, and The World of Hadronic Physics. Trailers for these fascinating, thought-provoking films can be seen on YouTube.
(N.B. All metaphysics, supercolliding, and Higgs Boson activity on site is conducted at the explorers’ discretion & peril.)
Strange New Worlds are delighted to announce that the Milton Keynes Garrison will be taking part in the Weekender! Inspired by their motto of ‘CHARITY, STRENGTH, & HONOUR’, MK Garrison raises money for Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity and other local and national charities.
The garrison pride themselves on the accuracy of their uniforms and you will see various exciting characters from STAR WARS patrolling the hall: Stormtroopers, Sith & Jedi, Yoda, Ashoka, Padme…
